‘Wish I had a dog’ is the new single from Norwegian art-folk artist King Hüsky. It’s a sunny, innocent track filled with a gentle chugging rhythm and the jangle of indie guitars. His voice is warm and bright, and delivers endlessly catchy, effortlessly performed hooks over and over again. “I guess it revolves around the themes of who we were and what or who we became. I wanted it to have a simplistic production feel to it, with a drum-machine feel to the drum beat. I think we managed to capture that.” King Hüsky is the solo project of Kvelertak guitarist Vidar Landa. His self-titled debut album drops on May 9th, 2025. -Dan Peeke
